Route choices and outcomes below contain spoilers.
Jean-Loo Pissoir is the toilet in either bathroom. Aim your Dateviators at the toilet, toilet paper, or plunger to meet Dateable #46. His route moves from an introduction through two lessons to a final rap battle. Winning his affection requires successful performances; ordinary flirting alone will not complete the route. Location, route overview
This guide uses meanings and menu actions rather than reproducing his songs. Keep your current dialogue visible when following it, especially during the lesson about rhythm.
Find the toilet and meet Ballcock
Either bathroom works. The upstairs bathroom beside your bedroom is a convenient starting point, and the downstairs toilet reaches the same character. DualShockers separates his introduction from the three subsequent performances; there is no reason to search for a different Jean-Loo between lessons. Bathroom locations
Ballcock is the microphone through which your selected responses are spoken. He belongs to Jean-Loo's story as a side character, rather than being another romance target to locate. His voice stays the same regardless of the player's pronouns. The microphone's changing expressions reflect your selected words. Ballcock explained
You still choose dialogue normally. Hearing the protagonist's lines spoken during these scenes is part of the encounter, so it does not mean that you have activated a separate character or changed your identity settings.
Follow the four interactions in order
| Interaction | Your task | What to prepare |
|---|---|---|
| Introduction | Meet Jean-Loo and agree to learn | Find either toilet |
| First lesson | Complete five rhymes | Match meaning as well as sound |
| Second lesson | Match four lines of rhythm | Listen to stress and syllables |
| Final battle | Respond with successful SPECS options | Check your available stats first |
TheGamer confirms that an offer to continue immediately does not skip the break: Jean-Loo sends you away to prepare. Return on a later day when he finishes the lesson instead of repeatedly targeting nearby bathroom objects. Lesson timing
Treat this table as a progress checklist. Note which interaction just ended before spending the rest of your day elsewhere; an introduction, a completed lesson, and a relationship ending are different milestones.
During the introduction, confident and hesitant replies both lead toward learning his style. This conversation sets up the training; it is not the final relationship choice. Keep a note that you have met him, then use the next visit to begin the exercises. Opening dialogue
First lesson: choose rhymes that fit the sentence
The five prompts describe a man's name, his position behind something, a burlap container, a small dwelling, and a blow in a fight. Choose the matching rhyme with a coherent meaning each time. The sequence is about finishing the thought, rather than selecting any word with a similar ending. First lesson transcript
The published guides differ on the last answer. TheGamer recommends “Whack,” DualShockers recommends “Smack,” and the wiki lists both. That disagreement is preserved here; this guide does not claim that one of those two is universally rejected. TheGamer's answer, wiki alternatives
Second lesson: recognize the four response meanings
The next exercise tests flow. Listen to how his final line lands before choosing a reply; matching the end rhyme while missing its rhythm is the problem this lesson introduces. DualShockers describes syllable counting, while TheGamer also emphasizes stress. Rhythm lesson, listening advice
The walkthroughs identify these four response ideas in order:
- A bathroom accident caused by leaving the seat down.
- Discovering that your car was towed.
- Plastic pollution reaching the ocean's depths.
- Holding the people responsible for pollution accountable.
These are paraphrased recognition cues, not replacement dialogue. DualShockers prints the full answer sequence if you need to compare the exact text on your screen. Second lesson responses
Final battle: prepare a complete successful sequence
For the documented route below, have at least 60 Smarts, 70 Empathy, and 30 Sass. Those values cover this particular sequence, rather than every possible winning answer. Reject his offer to overlook a mistake when pursuing Love. Documented Love route
| Exchange | Choose the action about | Required stat |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Accelerating your delivery | Sass 30 |
| 2 | Psychoanalyzing him | Empathy 70 |
| 3 | Using homophones | Smarts 50 |
| 4 | Answering in his native language | Empathy 60 |
| 5 | Correcting his historical claim | Smarts 60 |
Bonus Action follows this sequence through the final correction and romantic resolution. Keep selecting the specified action rather than another option that merely carries a stat requirement. Final encounter
The wiki's expanded table marks some low-threshold choices as failures, including the initial intimidation attempt at Sass 20. It also notes that the interface can show fewer choices than the full list. A numbered SPECS option is not automatically a winning answer. Success and failure table
Love, Friends, and failed attempts
For Love, complete the lessons and the final battle successfully, decline the offered allowance, and follow through on the romantic outcome. If you prefer Friends, Bonus Action says to select friendship when it is offered during the final interaction. Relationship outcomes
Failure guidance is less consistent. DualShockers describes a mulligan before a further mistake produces Hate. The wiki instead describes an initial Hate result with an apology route, followed by a more restrictive second failure. Do not assume that repeated mistakes are freely reversible. Check your current relationship result before proceeding. DualShockers on mistakes, wiki on recovery
If you are checking why progress stopped, identify the stage first: no new lesson suggests timing, a missing recommended response suggests stats or visible choices, and a Hate result requires checking the recovery dialogue. That is more useful than restarting every conversation without recording what happened.
Jean-Loo's Realization recipe
His recipe is 50 Smarts, 100 Poise, 0 Empathy, 0 Charm, and 100 Sass. These requirements are separate from the battle sequence above: winning Love does not by itself satisfy the recipe. Recipe
ScreenHype confirms the same numbers and explains the additional checks: unlock Realization, finish the relationship, and resolve outstanding appearances in other characters' stories. A Hate relationship needs repair before Realization. Speak with him once the conditions are met and follow the Realization conversation. Realization requirements
Use the Realization guide for the wider system, the beginner guide for planning your daily interactions, or return to the character directory to choose another route while raising your stats.
