Start Date Everything by following Skylar's tutorial, then build a daily routine around five Dateviator charges. Keep a manual save, continue a few relationships and use spare conversations to meet unfamiliar Dateables. This guide explains the early systems without listing every character's dialogue choices. Tutorial, daily charges
Understand what the Dateviators reveal
Date Everything! is a sandbox dating simulator by Sassy Chap Games and Team17. Its base game has 100 fully voiced Dateables. Magical glasses reveal personalities associated with household objects, and their stories can lead to romantic, friendly or hostile relationships. The premise rewards looking around your home rather than searching for a single designated romance. Official game description
Follow the opening package and put on the Dateviators to meet Skylar. Her tutorial introduces Dorian, Phoenicia, Maggie and Betty alongside the main phone systems. Afterward, Skylar is available through her phone app while you wear the glasses; speaking with her uses a charge. She is a character with a relationship, as well as your guide to the technology. Skylar and the introduction
Begin by learning one room's landmarks. When you discover someone, connect their name with the physical object you approached. That small habit is more useful than memorizing a roster before you have seen the house.
Spend five charges, then sleep
An ordinary day starts with five charges. Spending a charge advances the time of day, and after using all five you sleep in bed to begin another day. Some characters have time-sensitive responses, so the clock can matter even when you still have charges. Time and recharge rules
Screen Hype's beginner walkthrough also describes the usual once-per-character daily conversation restriction. If you have already spoken to someone today, plan a return tomorrow rather than repeatedly checking the same object. Its advice to continue a few stories across consecutive days helps keep their requests fresh. Early conversation routine
Try reserving two conversations for ongoing stories, two for introductions and one for a newly mentioned lead. This is a suggested allocation, not a required sequence. Change it when a specific route asks for your attention. Before sleeping, jot down the next unfinished action so that tomorrow's charges have a purpose.
Use the phone as your progress notebook
The Date-a-Dex records discovered characters, relationship status and short notes on interactions. Roomers maps mentions and connections between characters. Thiscord delivers messages from tinfoilhat and Sam, including information tied to the Dateviators. The S.P.E.C.S. app displays your five stat totals. Phone app functions
Use each app to answer a different question: whom have you met, what did they ask, which connection needs following, and what changed in your stats? Check unread messages before deciding that a mechanic has failed to unlock. You do not need to remember every conversation unaided.
Keep any personal note short: a character, the object or room, and the next lead. Mark completed relationships separately from introductions. Meeting someone and finishing their story are different kinds of progress.
Save before choices you want to revisit
The phone's Save/Load app supports multiple manual saves. The wiki says autosaves are overwritten after character interactions, so they are not a substitute for keeping an earlier branch yourself. Save behavior
Make a separate save before a consequential conversation or goodbye. Give yourself a clear place to return if its outcome is different from what you intended. Screen Hype likewise recommends saving before conversations because an unexpected response can immediately change a relationship. Practical saving advice
Do not overwrite your earlier branch until you are comfortable with the result. A saved stopping point also makes a long break easier: you can reread your note without wondering which decision the current file contains.
Choose Love, Friendship or Hate deliberately
Dateables have Love, Friendship and Hate outcomes determined by dialogue. Reaching one does not remove all later dialogue; an ordinary relationship ending is distinct from the later Realization mechanic. Relationship outcomes
Pick the outcome you want for each person instead of treating every conversation as a stat purchase. If a route stops moving, check its latest story note and whether another character was mentioned. Use the character directory for focused help; its first 15 guides cover selected routes, rather than claiming to document all 100.
Build SPECS without confusing points and prerequisites
SPECS means Smarts, Poise, Empathy, Charm and Sass. Completing a Love, Friendship or Hate ending grants five points in that Dateable's assigned category. Each base-game category has twenty characters and a maximum of 100 points. Optional dialogue and some collectables can require particular totals. SPECS rules
An early guide can make locked options sound like mandatory romance gates. The retrieved SPECS wiki explicitly says all three relationship endings remain achievable regardless of your totals. Treat a locked optional response as a reason to inspect that route, rather than proof that you must abandon it. Current distinction
Explore new rooms and keep the outside door for later
Opening the crawlspace and attic creates more places to investigate. Screen Hype recommends accessing them early for that reason. Our attic key guide explains the office rug, Keith and the upstairs door as a separate exploration task. Why expand the search
Leaving the house ends the game; it is not an ordinary trip to another exploration area. Keep a manual save before choosing to leave. For now, decide which conversations you still want rather than assuming the front door is the next story objective. Leaving and the ending sequence
Recognize the Realization milestones
Awakening 43 Dateables triggers tinfoilhat's Thiscord introduction to recipes. After awakening 48 and speaking with Skylar, Realization becomes available. These counts concern awakened characters, not finished romances. Only Love or Friends outcomes normally qualify a character for Realization. Unlock and eligibility
When those messages appear, open the Realization guide for the five-stat recipes, remaining story dependencies and goodbye consequences. You do not need to solve every recipe during the opening days.
Use Content Aware when you need it
Content Aware offers skips for certain sensitive storylines. The wiki says skipping grants that character's collectables and SPECS points and lets you select Love, Friendship or Hate. You can therefore choose the available skip without sacrificing those rewards. Content Aware behavior
A useful stopping routine is simple: save, check messages, record tomorrow's lead and sleep when ready. On your return, choose between continuing a relationship, meeting someone new or opening another part of the house. Let that immediate goal decide which guide to read next.
