Route choices and outcomes below contain spoilers.

To romance Dorian in Date Everything, speak to his 17 distinct door locations, revisit the door used in the tutorial, then return to Front Dorian and confess your love. The two bedroom closet doors share one counted Dorian, although there are 18 physical doors. The GameRant walkthrough confirms that distinction and the tutorial revisit. Use the checklist below before spending time repeating conversations at doors you have already covered.

Meet Dorian and understand the route

Dorian is Date-a-Dex entry 7, the personification of the house's doors. Your introduction produces Friends and five Poise points; his initial resistance to romance does not mean you have failed. The character wiki identifies this as an unusual route that can change after friendship.

Separate three goals in your notes: finding every distinct door, collecting the four special forms, and completing a relationship ending. A short list of four portraits is not a complete list of locations. Start a checklist you can mark while playing rather than relying on a memory of having visited a particular room. Opening a room and having a conversation with its door are different actions.

Check all nine ground-floor locations

This circuit starts at the entrance and moves through the office, bathroom and kitchen before finishing at the rear exit. It groups nearby targets so you can check one area completely before changing floors. The names correspond to the GameRant door list, with landmarks checked against the wiki location section.

DoorLandmark to check
FrontEntrance, below the stairs
OfficeFirst room on the right from the entrance
Office closet / boiler roomInside the office
TrapUnder the rug in that closet
Downstairs bathroomBathroom beside the office
TinyKitchen wall beside the laundry entrance
Laundry roomDoor at the kitchen's far end
Laundry closetInside the laundry room
BackRear exit behind the piano

Tick each row only after speaking with Dorian there. If you get distracted by another character's task, leave the current row unmarked until you return. For the office, check the room door, closet door and concealed trapdoor separately; one conversation does not cover that entire area.

Check all eight upstairs locations

The upstairs circuit contains two bathroom entrances, which need separate checks, plus the bedroom's shared closet entry. These landmarks are cross-checked against TheGamer's floor-by-floor walkthrough.

DoorLandmark to check
BedroomLeft at the top of the stairs
Bedroom closetSliding closets inside the bedroom; one set counts
Bedroom-side bathroomBathroom entrance from the bedroom
Gym-side bathroomBathroom entrance from the gym
GymRight at the top of the stairs
Gym closetStorage inside the gym
Electrical closetHall closet between gym and attic
AtticLocked door at the hall's far end

Treat the table as a room inspection: bedroom and its storage first, both bathroom approaches next, then gym and hallway storage. If your remembered total differs from the checklist, compare individual rows instead of adding another bedroom closet as a substitute for a missing location elsewhere.

Finish Love, or keep Friends

After the circuit, return to Front Dorian and select the response that expresses love. GameRant documents the reciprocated confession and the Total Dork achievement for speaking to every door. TheGamer advises returning the following day. If the confession is absent immediately after your final visit, try that next-day return before assuming the entire route is broken.

Friends is already established during the introduction. You can keep that relationship if you do not want romance; the door hunt is the documented path to changing it. For a new run, consult the beginner guide before planning the rest of your house circuit.

The Dorian transcript also documents Love after 100 Friends endings, and Hate after 50 Hate endings with other Dateables. These are house-wide relationship conditions, so ordinary curt dialogue is not evidence that you have triggered Hate. The transcript records a Poise Candy route from Hate to Love as well. For a first romance attempt, the location checklist offers a much clearer progress record than pursuing those alternative conditions.

Find the four special forms

The four collectable forms are Front, Back, Tiny and Trap. Front is at the entrance; Back is by the rear living-room exit; Tiny is in the kitchen wall; Trap is at the crawlspace entrance under the office-closet rug. ScreenHype's illustrated guide distinguishes these forms and explains that Bobby Pinn's final storyline opens Tiny Dorian to reveal I, Ronaldini.

Use these four names when checking a missing portrait. Use the full 17-row checklist when checking a missing romance trigger. The two lists answer different questions, even though some entries overlap.

Troubleshoot closets, locked doors and missing dialogue

Bedroom closets: ScreenHype recommends both, while the wiki, GameRant and TheGamer say only one counts. Follow the shared-one count above; visiting both is an optional extra check.

Tiny door: GameRant explicitly completed the requirement while it remained locked. Do not assume Bobby Pinn's finished storyline is necessary for Dorian's romance.

Attic door: the sources disagree. ScreenHype requires a conversation after unlocking; the wiki says speaking while locked is sufficient, and GameRant leaves this unconfirmed. If the checklist is complete but romance remains unavailable, unlock it through the attic-key guide, then talk again. This is a troubleshooting step, not a verified universal prerequisite.

Prepare Dorian's Realization

Dorian's recipe is 75 Smarts, 100 Poise, 75 Empathy, 0 Charm and 0 Sass, confirmed by the ScreenHype recipe list. That guide also requires an eligible positive relationship and no unfinished story dependencies. The wiki's Unfurnished Business page specifically identifies Dorian's involvement in Maggie's investigation as a reason he may remain unavailable. Its dependency table also lists Arma, Bobby Pinn, Gaia, Keith, Maggie and Sinclaire for Dorian. If Maggie's case is complete but he remains blocked, inspect those outstanding routes before farming surplus SPECS. These are cross-character checks; a high Poise total alone does not resolve them.

Check the recipe, relationship and outstanding investigations separately. Before proceeding, review any portraits or conversations you still want; Realization removes ordinary access to the character. The Realization guide explains the broader unlock process. Keep the character directory handy for the other routes you need while building SPECS.
