Route choices and outcomes below contain spoilers.
To romance Curt and Rod, meet them at all eight curtain locations, land playful jokes, then accept dating both of them. Aim at the curtains or curtain rod; scanning the window brings up Wyndolyn instead. This walkthrough contains relationship spoilers. Location reference
Find all eight curtain locations
Curt and Rod share Date-a-Dex entry 9. Their conversations move around the house: returning to a room you already used can spend a charge without advancing their story. A room with several windows only needs one curtain interaction. Room progression
Use this checklist rather than counting individual window panes:
- Bedroom
- Gym
- Office
- Living room
- Dining room
- Kitchen
- Laundry room
- Entryway, also called the foyer or front-door location
A convenient sweep is bedroom and gym first, followed by a downstairs circuit. This is a navigation suggestion; the room list and joke checklist do not establish a required itinerary.
Keep a separate mark for visited and joke succeeded. That is a practical way to spot whether you missed a room or disliked a result. Do not assume a second curtain in the same room counts as another destination. Use the character directory to identify another object you encounter while searching.
Understand the shade puzzle
Their introduction teaches their rules for teasing. Listen with curiosity and join the joke. The positive feedback is Got ’em! or Ooh, Shady. No Shade Detected means your answer was supportive without a roast; the personal-insult response means the joke crossed their boundary. Screen Hype recommends keeping the whole Love attempt within the two positive categories. Shade feedback
Read the situation before picking the harshest-sounding answer. The useful distinction is whether you are making an observation they can laugh at or dismissing someone as worthless. This is a reading aid, not a substitute for the feedback displayed by your conversation.
Room-by-room joke cues
The following paraphrases identify a supported positive answer without reproducing every dialogue line. Match the idea to the options on screen. Curt and Rod’s response table
| Room | Scene | Positive joke to look for |
|---|---|---|
| Bedroom | Curt talks in his sleep | Suggest learning from Rod. |
| Gym | Curt is reluctant to dance | Compare his stiffness with Rod’s. |
| Living room | Rod sings badly | Criticize the melody rather than Rod. |
| Dining room | Curt recalls an unspoken crush | Joke that feelings arrived before introductions. |
| Office | They offer dating advice | Tease their limited recent practice. |
| Kitchen | Rod’s pickup attempt comes up | Compare his failed line with Curt’s style. |
| Laundry room | They struggle to admit liking you | Joke that everyone has different talents. |
| Entryway | A neighbor plays a boombox | Connect the batteries with desperation. |
After each scene, note its feedback before moving on. If an option in your game differs, use the scene and feedback to check that you are following the intended branch.
Finish the shared Love route
Once all eight rooms are covered, return to a curtain for the personal conversation. Choose Curt or Rod, show romantic interest, and keep the banter playful. The wiki’s Love checklist places this conversation before the following interaction where you choose Love. Love sequence
Speaking privately to either man is part of their shared route. Both published walkthroughs allow either choice; neither presents it as a way to remove the other from the ending. After your private conversation, give them time to discuss it and return the next day. Accept the offer to date both. Final relationship conversation
Save before that decision if you want to inspect another response. Keep the save’s purpose clear: it preserves a point you can revisit; it does not repair earlier dialogue choices automatically.
Friends and Hate choices
For Friends, accept their friendship offer. The character reference also describes Hate branches involving accusing them of using you after an unshady approach, or attacking their friendship and demanding they separate. Relationship outcomes
Do not treat a single bad sticker as a proven universal Hate trigger. Screen Hype explicitly expresses uncertainty about that threshold. Its collectible advice should therefore not override the actual relationship conversation in your save. If your goal is Love, use positive feedback throughout; if your goal is Friends, choose friendship when offered.
If their story stops progressing
Work through these checks in order:
- Confirm the target. Wyndolyn appearing means you selected the window. Retarget its curtain or rod.
- Check room coverage. Match your notes against all eight rooms, including the entryway.
- Separate the two stages. Completing room conversations comes before the private talk and final relationship decision.
- Record the last instruction. If they asked for time, use that as your next action rather than repeating an already completed room.
This checklist combines the location and relationship sequence above. It does not promise that every previously chosen branch can be recovered. The beginner guide explains the wider conversation routine if you are still learning how to plan your daily interactions.
Curt and Rod Realization recipe
Realization is a later step than dating. The general mechanic becomes available after 48 awakened Dateables and a conversation with Skylar; the recipe message begins after 43 awakenings. A Love or Friends ending is ordinarily required. Realization unlock
Their shared recipe is:
| SPECS stat | Required points |
|---|---|
| Smarts | 40 |
| Poise | 85 |
| Empathy | 0 |
| Charm | 40 |
| Sass | 85 |
Check all five values separately. Extra points in one category do not replace a shortfall in another. The published recipe lists no additional Unfurnished Business in their row. That blank is not evidence that every other character connected to them is ready. Recipe table
Their route matters to other characters
Wyndolyn, Cabrizzio and Fantina list Curt and Rod among their Unfurnished Business. This means their appearances in this route can block those characters’ Realization. Finish the relevant curtain scenes before assuming a missing option is a stat problem. The dependency runs from the character awaiting Realization to the unfinished appearance; it is not a requirement to romance everyone involved. Dependency table
Before ending your session, keep three separate notes: rooms completed, relationship achieved, and remaining SPECS requirements. Those answer different questions. For broader unlock and dependency help, continue with the Realization guide.
